1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, and using the Pocket Hisaab mobile application ("the App"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Pocket Hisaab is a mobile application that provides comprehensive personal and small-business finance management tools, including:

• Expense and income tracking
• Budget management and tracking
• Multiple wallet/account management
• Lend/borrow ledger management
• Expense splitting among groups
• Multi-currency support
• Reports and analytics
• Data export and import

The App is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. All financial data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the App for any illegal activities
• Enter false or misleading financial information
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App in any way that could harm us or other users

3.2 Data Ownership and Responsibility

You retain all rights to the financial data you create using the App. All data is stored locally on your device and is under your complete control. You are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring the accuracy of your financial data
• Protecting your device from unauthorized access
• Backing up your data if desired
• Managing and deleting your data
• Maintaining the security of your device

4. Privacy and Data Storage

4.1 Local Storage (Default)

Local Storage Only: By default, all financial data you create using the App is stored exclusively on your device. This means:

• Your financial data is NOT uploaded to our servers
• We do NOT have access to your financial data
• Your data is NOT shared with third parties (except as described in our Privacy Policy regarding Google AdMob)
• You have complete control over your data
• Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data

4.2 Optional Cloud Sync

Cloud Sync is Optional: The App now offers optional cloud sync functionality. If you choose to create an account and enable cloud sync:

• Your encrypted financial data will be stored on our secure servers
• Your data will sync across all devices where you log in
• You can access your data from multiple devices
• Your data is encrypted and can only be accessed with your password
• You can disable cloud sync or delete your account at any time
• Cloud sync is completely optional - the app works perfectly without it

5. Advertising

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free availability of the App. By using the App, you agree to:

• The display of advertisements within the App
• Google AdMob's use of data for advertising purposes (as described in our Privacy Policy)
• Collection of anonymous usage data for ad optimization

You may opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Limit Ad Tracking

6. Multi-Currency and Exchange Rates

The App supports multiple currencies and may fetch exchange rates from third-party APIs. We:

• Cache exchange rates for offline use
• Do not guarantee the accuracy of exchange rates
• Are not responsible for currency conversion errors
• Recommend verifying exchange rates for important transactions

7. Intellectual Property

The Pocket Hisaab app, including its design, code, and original content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App code
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Create derivative works based on the App
• Use our branding without permission

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 Service Availability

We strive to maintain App availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may experience downtime due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues without prior notice.

8.2 Financial Accuracy

While we aim for accuracy, we cannot guarantee:

• 100% accuracy in all calculations
• Perfect currency conversion rates
• Error-free data processing in all cases

Always verify important financial calculations independently.

8.3 Data Loss

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Data loss may occur if your device is lost, damaged, or reset
• Uninstalling the App will delete all saved data
• We are not responsible for any data loss
• We recommend backing up important data using the export feature

8.4 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App, including but not limited to:

• Loss of financial data
• Inaccurate calculations
• Currency conversion errors
• Device damage or data loss
• Financial losses resulting from App usage

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App settings or by visiting our Delete Account page. Account deletion is:

• Irreversible - Once deleted, data cannot be recovered
• Complete - All financial data (both local and cloud), settings, and preferences will be permanently removed
• Immediate - Data is deleted immediately upon confirmation from both your device and our servers
• Cloud Data Included - All synced cloud data will also be permanently deleted

Note: If you only want to stop syncing but keep local data, you can simply disable cloud sync in settings instead of deleting your account.

We recommend exporting your data before deleting your account if you may need it in the future.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services, including:

• Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements
• Exchange Rate APIs: For fetching currency exchange rates

These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies. When you use these services through our App, you are subject to their respective terms and policies.

11. Prohibited Uses

You expressly agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal activities
• Enter false or fraudulent financial information
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App in any way that could harm us or other users

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
