Permanently delete your account and all associated data

⚠️ This Action Cannot Be Undone

Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data from the app. This includes:

  • All expense and income transactions (local and cloud)
  • All budgets and budget history (local and cloud)
  • All wallets and account balances (local and cloud)
  • All lend/borrow ledger entries and contacts (local and cloud)
  • All expense splitting groups and settlements (local and cloud)
  • All categories, tags, and payment methods (local and cloud)
  • All receipts and invoice attachments (local and cloud)
  • All app settings and preferences
  • All synced cloud data - permanently removed from our servers
  • Your account - email, username, and all account information

Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.

📥 Before You Delete

We strongly recommend exporting your data before deleting your account:

  1. Open the Pocket Hisaab app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select "Export Data"
  4. Choose CSV or JSON format
  5. Save the exported file to a secure location

This way, you can keep a backup of your financial data even after account deletion.

How to Delete Your Account

Open the App

Launch Pocket Hisaab on your device

Go to Settings

Navigate to the Settings section in the app

Select "Delete Account"

Find and tap on the "Delete Account" option

Confirm Deletion

Read the warning message carefully and confirm your decision

Account Deleted

Your account and all data will be permanently deleted immediately

☁️ About Cloud Sync

If you have enabled cloud sync and created an account:

  • Deleting your account will remove both local and cloud data
  • All synced data on our servers will be permanently deleted
  • Data on all your devices will be removed
  • This action cannot be undone

Alternative: If you only want to stop syncing but keep local data, you can disable cloud sync in Settings instead of deleting your account.

Alternative: Uninstall the App

If you simply uninstall the Pocket Hisaab app from your device, all locally stored data will be removed. However, if you reinstall the app later, you can start fresh.

Note: If you have a cloud sync account, uninstalling will only remove local data. You must delete your account separately to remove cloud data. Using the "Delete Account" feature in Settings provides a more explicit confirmation process and ensures complete data removal (both local and cloud).

What Happens After Deletion?

  • All data is permanently deleted from your device
  • No data recovery - Once deleted, data cannot be restored
  • You can reinstall the app and start fresh if desired
  • Cloud data deleted - All synced data on our servers is permanently removed
  • If you exported your data, you can import it back after reinstalling
