1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, and using the Save My Place mobile application ("the App"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Save My Place is a mobile application that allows you to:

• Save your current GPS location with one tap
• Pick locations from a map
• Search for locations manually
• Add custom names and notes to saved locations
• Mark locations as favorites
• Edit, rename, or delete saved locations
• Open saved locations in external map applications (Google Maps, Apple Maps, etc.)
• Store all locations locally on your device

The App is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. All location data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the App for any illegal activities
• Save locations that violate privacy rights of others
• Use the App to track or monitor individuals without their consent
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App in any way that could harm us or other users

3.2 Location Data Ownership

You retain all rights to the location data you save using the App. All saved locations are stored locally on your device and are under your complete control. You are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to save and access the locations you save
• Protecting your device from unauthorized access
• Backing up your data if desired
• Managing and deleting your saved locations

4. Privacy and Data Storage

4.1 Local Storage (Default)

Local Storage Only: By default, all location data you save using the App is stored exclusively on your device. This means:

• Your location data is NOT uploaded to our servers
• We do NOT have access to your saved locations
• Your data is NOT shared with third parties (except as described in our Privacy Policy regarding Google AdMob)
• You have complete control over your data
• Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data

4.2 Optional Cloud Sync

Cloud Sync is Optional: The App now offers optional cloud sync functionality. If you choose to create an account and enable cloud sync:

• Your encrypted location data will be stored on our secure servers
• Your locations will sync across all devices where you log in
• You can access your locations from multiple devices
• Your data is encrypted and can only be accessed with your password
• You can disable cloud sync or delete your account at any time
• Cloud sync is completely optional - the app works perfectly without it

5. Advertising

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free availability of the App. By using the App, you agree to:

• The display of advertisements within the App
• Google AdMob's use of data for advertising purposes (as described in our Privacy Policy)
• Collection of anonymous usage data for ad optimization

You may opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Limit Ad Tracking

6. Location Services

The App requires access to your device's location services to:

• Save your current GPS position
• Display your location on maps
• Calculate distances to saved locations

You can grant or revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. If you revoke location permissions, some features of the App may not function properly.

7. Intellectual Property

The Save My Place app, including its design, code, and original content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App code
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Create derivative works based on the App
• Use our branding without permission

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 Service Availability

We strive to maintain App availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may experience downtime due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues without prior notice.

8.2 Location Accuracy

Location accuracy depends on:

• Your device's GPS capabilities
• Signal strength and environmental factors
• Location service settings on your device

We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of saved locations. Always verify important locations before relying on them for navigation.

8.3 Data Loss

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Data loss may occur if your device is lost, damaged, or reset
• Uninstalling the App will delete all saved locations
• We are not responsible for any data loss
• We recommend backing up important locations if needed

8.4 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App, including but not limited to:

• Loss of saved location data
• Inaccurate location information
• Navigation errors
• Device damage or data loss

9. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services, including:

• Google Maps / Apple Maps: For displaying maps and navigation when you choose to open locations in external map apps
• Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements

These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies. When you use these services through our App, you are subject to their respective terms and policies.

10. Prohibited Uses

You expressly agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal activities
• Track or monitor individuals without their consent
• Save locations that violate privacy rights
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App in any way that could harm us or other users

11. Account Deletion

If you have created an account for cloud sync, you may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App settings. Account deletion is:

• Irreversible - Once deleted, data cannot be recovered
• Complete - All location data (both local and cloud), settings, and preferences will be permanently removed
• Immediate - Data is deleted immediately upon confirmation from both your device and our servers
• Cloud Data Included - All synced cloud data will also be permanently deleted

Note: If you only want to stop syncing but keep local data, you can simply disable cloud sync in settings instead of deleting your account.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data. If you have a cloud sync account, you should delete it first if you want to remove cloud data as well.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
